You know what’s weird? Broadway people seem like they’re so far away, so much ~bigger than West End people. And I sometimes reblog pictures of Broadway actresses who I will never ever seen in a show unless they happen to come here for some reason. And there are some who I reblog and I have to copy their name from somewhere cos I don’t know who they are but I don’t want to not tag them.

And then I think about it and realise that to people in other countries - or, even, other parts of the UK - West End people are like that to them.

But they seem so much more ‘normal’ to me because I am fortunate enough to see them so often.

But, those people I know who live in America on tumblr… you must have the opposite.

Sorry, I’m just having a ~philosophical moment.

#did this post even make sense #i guess what i’m getting at is it’s weird when one of you reblogs a picture of keiffy or someone #because to you they’re someone who lives miles away and played a part and that’s it #they’re not a personality #they’re not a whole bunch of memories #like #to me #someone like megan hilty or karen olivo or sutton foster #that’s a massive deal #but to some of you… #rachel tucker is like that?#idk im gonna shut up now

i have a big essay to write about this all whirring around in my head but i can’t get it in order to write it. so i’m not going to.  and in relation sometimes i think i take it for granted that we’re lucky enough to be able to say” go to wicked? YEP GO TO WICKED” or after the turn or legally blonde or whatever it may happen to be. and then there are other people even like just outside of london who aren’t lucky enough to get to go and i forget that. and i forget there are people who haven’t even seen tuckerphaba and that is so weird to me because she’s been there so long she’s like part of the furniture. i just kind of assume that everyone’s seen her because she’s ~always been there. and then i’m like ohhh i think i’ll go and see silly old tucker next week and then i see tumblr posts where people are really excited that they finally saw her / are sad that they’ll never get to and that is so, so weird to me. and they’re all like ~big people to them but to us that’s just silly old tucker or dancing ashleigh… i don’t think i could deal with not being able to troll off somewhere fun at the drop of a hat.  i did go off on a vague tangent but it’s relatively relevant >:3

I follow more people who live in the UK who post musical theatre than America actually.

So I kind of think West End is really grand, and Wicked London is my favourite thing ever, and want to meet all of the W:L actresses and all of that. Like a REAL lot.

And Rachel Tucker is like in NYC and I’ve been freaking out about this the past three days about this.

But I don’t know, I think I’ve just grown accustomed to what I am exposed to (INTERNET-WISE). Because I can’t go see shows a lot at all, and other people on the internet don’t seem to understand the fact that living in NYC doesn’t mean you live within 10 miles of Manhattan, and living in NYC doesn’t mean you have money to see shows every week on Broadway, it’s just really expensive.

But yeah, I’m just an out of place fangirl.

Filed under I've seen around 10 shows on broadway in my life But then again I didn't have an interest in it until mid last year THANKS A LOT BROADWAY kind of day
