Ok guys I cannot find any working pens I’ll look later and my good lead pencil aka chewed up by someone that was not me has no lead and blah blah so I’m going to start this.

 This is not in order of date or crap and I’m making it up on the spot so YAY

The other day I found this piece of paper. This piece of paper represents this year, especially August-present day.

August 4th, my family and I saw the Broadway at Bryant Park event, where the cast of Broadway and off-Broadway shows perform 1, 2, or 3 songs for free, and we went so I can see some people from the Wicked cast perform.

Right before, I was franctically googling on my phone who the current Glinda was. Katie Rose Clarke.

When Teal sang the Wizard and I, I had to control myself from squeeing out loud.

Afterwards, I was getting scared I didn’t stress enough to my family that I wanted to wait to meet Teal, Katie, and Richard. Like, deathly afraid that I would be forever disappointed if I didn’t meet them. But then, people crowded around, and my sister and I went, and ran back and retrieved an envelope, the only paper we had on us, and got pictures and autographs, and it was all I talked about online for a while.

However, that was when my Wicked obsession kind of went BOOM in a massive explosion. Since last December, I had moderated it, and allowed it in short (massive) spurts. Reblogging tons on Tumblr, hysterical and making pottsie replay Kerry Ellis’ last defying gravity over and over so I can be nearly sobbing, being obsessed with the Gershwin Theatre. Calling the Gershwin “The Dump” was the inside joke of the millenium. But after meeting Teal and Katie, my head was a pounding mess, chanting “WICKED WICKED WICKED.”

Later that week, I began following Wicked blogs, and changed my username from dyafancycatherinetatesir to cantallcomeandgobytardis. I found out about Tuckman later that day, and began to memorize people’s faces in green, wanting to know every single actress who had ever played Elphaba, and same for Glinda.

And now, I have a ginormous appreciation for theatre, for Broadway, exponentially increased respect for the city I live in that offers so much (even if I can’t experience it when I want to).

I don’t know what I’m trying to say, since I am typing like a herd of cows right now, but THANK YOU WICKED. For being spectacular.

Here’s the diagram! First national tour: TEAL REPLACES KATIE KATIE REPLACES MAMIE MAMIE REPLACES KYLE. KYLE IS KICKED OUT. So now Teal and Katie will be reuinited and Mamie becomes Fiyero. Is everyone happy? NOW WE ARE ALL HAPPPPEEEEEE

   :24-:30. It sounds so right yet so foreign. Oh god I’m not even really familiar with how SJB sings in Wicked. Oh man and at the Gershwin they play Kendra and Steph on the tvs, that was so full circle but… it was like… they made me desperately see a pair that I was not about to see? Oh but why don’t they play the THE WIZARD WILL SEE YOU NOW AHHHHH commercials on the radio anymore that is all I want, they haven’t played that in well over a year, I just want to hear it.

I was just like… I don’t remember her wearing this. So I looked at my phone’s photos and realized the pic with her isn’t there… Oh god I may have lost that picture with her EVEN THOUGH IT WAS BAD. It was so bad that until Teal came out I was just using my phone as a mirror trying to practice smiling.
